Non-exist Existing is a Sound Art work designed, composed and produced by Yao in 2021. It is a collaboration with architecture installation by Zhenjiang Guo (郭振江，玳山设计) and visual art by Haiying Liang (梁海盈), It is commissioned by Taikoo Hui, which is a Shopping Mall in China. As Taikoo Hui’s 10-year Opening Anniversary in 2021, “Where time is the new luxury” as their slogan, This Multimedia and Architectural Installation Exhibition is based on the center idea about time, and curated by Qing Yang (ART ZHIYI).

Creative Concept
Sound is everywhere, is it absolute silence when it feels “quiet”? Otherwise, as long as there is a vibration-generating medium, there will be a sound, the sound – when it thinks it does not exist, it is always there.
Time is like a flowing river, everything in the water flows with the current. Ten years have passed. “For us, we exist now, neither before nor after; however, the present is the result of the past and nurtured the future, so the real present is eternal.” (Hegel)
Here and now, in the river of sound, I feel time directly and chant eternity.

Two Sets of 2.1 speakers play one group of sound spread whole architecture.
The sound of field recording of Taikoo Hui and IO midi light controller played in another 2 speakers at the corners, audiences can hear the sound when walking close to them
