Background
In 2018, as one of the musicians participating in the Found Sound China project of the US Department of Education, Yuntu Studio and I drove 6 hours to the Baoshan Stone Town north of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province to do field record.
2018年， 作为美国教育部Found Sound China项目参与音乐人之一，我和云图工作室驱车6个小时去到云南省丽江市区以北的宝山石头城进行采风。
Baoshan Stone Village is located in the Jinsha River Vally, about 110 kilometers north of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, China. Baoshan Stone Village is named after the isolated mushroom-shaped boulders where more than 100 families.
宝山石头城位于云南丽江城北110公里的金沙江峡谷中，因百余户人家聚居在一座独立的蘑菇状巨石之上而得名。丽江宝山石头城纳西语称为“拉伯鲁盘坞”，意为“宝山白石寨”。
We collected the Naxi folk songs “Gu Qi” and Lusheng Dance. Because the tones of the Stone Village dialect are more ups and downs than the center city of Lijiang, their folk songs’s tunes are also somewhat different from other parts of Lijiang.
期间我们采集到纳西族歌调“谷泣”和芦笙舞，因石头城方言的音调与丽江古城区的起伏更大些，他们的民歌调旋律也与古城区有了一定差异。
The peculiarity about this village is its outer walls that have been shaped by mountains and rivers. Seen from a topview, the walls have forcibly stationed here under the harsh conditions of Nature with twisted and stubborn shape.
理解石头城的奇特，是山和金沙江塑造出了它的外墙，俯瞰它，它大自然苛刻的条件下，它强扭着驻扎了下来。
All household living on the stone have their stories, especially those about the hardships and pains that have gradually polished out the unique traces to this village.
把石头城拟人化，它的状体扭曲并顽固，石头上的每户人家都有他们的故事，特别是那些艰辛与痛苦渐渐磨出属于这个村落特有的痕迹。
